Senior Finance Executive or Accountant - Full-Time [Permanent]

We are currently looking for a proactive, team-oriented Senior Finance Executive or Accountant.

 

 

Who we are looking for

  • Perform day-to-day accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, bank reconciliation and financial statements

  • Complete general ledger operations and prepare journal entries

  • Support month-end closing, basic management reports and regulatory reporting

  • Liaise with departments internally if needed

  • Prepare monthly reconciliations for inter-company balances

  • Prepare quarterly GST returns and filings

  • Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures

  • Review and process expense reports; assist in preparing budgets and forecasts

  • Provide senior management with the required review and analysis of information

  • Assist with the preparation and coordination of the audit process

  • Organize and maintain document filing system

  • Any other duties/projects that will be assigned from time to time

 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • University graduate in Finance, Accounting or related discipline

  • 3+ years of financial services and/or audit experience,

  • Fundamental and sound accounting knowledge, Post-Secondary degree in Accounting beneficial

  • A Passion for protecting our environment and preserving our planet is a must!

  • Demonstrated ability to identify, analyse and resolve issues with minimal supervision

  • Organized, detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize given tight deadlines

  • Good analytical skills and detail-oriented, ability to show initiative and take responsibility

  • Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Proficiency in MS Office; especially MS Excel would be an advantage

  • Must have a “can-do” attitude

  • Proficient/knowledge in Oracle, SAP and/or QuickBooks

  • Immediately available is an advantage
