Carbon & Environmental Product Specialist - Full-Time [Permanent]

We are looking for a proactive, team-oriented Carbon & Environmental Product Specialist reporting to the Head of APAC and Global Head of Product Carbon Markets.

The Role:

  • Develop customized exchange solutions for ACX clients. This may require engagement with clients to understand their needs, then designing and planning processes that are customized to their requirements.

  • Develop new products for the spot exchange. This involves planning and launching new contracts and other standardized products in accordance with the requirements of a regulated exchange. This may also include planning industry consultations. 

  • Perform research and analysis. This involves, in-depth research into carbon crediting standards and their methodologies, reviewing other exchanges’ product offerings, monitoring international carbon market related polices and developments. Research on various other environmental products will also be required.

  • Engage a variety of clients for business and product development

  • Assist with building and maintaining relationships with key institutional partners of ACX

 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Good Degree in Economics, Business, Environmental Science and related fields

  • 2-3 years’ working experience, preferably with some exposure to sustainability & carbon markets.

  • Skilled in creating presentations, performing detailed research and analysis independently

  • Enjoys planning, designing and documenting solutions

  • Eager to learn more about Carbon & Environmental Products, Carbon markets and carbon trading

  • Enjoys engaging with external clients

  • Open to working in a dynamic startup, with exposure to multiple related fields of work

  • Candidates with stronger backgrounds and profiles will be considered for more senior positions. Candidates with a background in consulting and/or have mastered regional languages will have an advantage.
